How long can I keep a Living Fundraisers herb pack before opening/planting?
They can store for up to a year in a cool, dry place. Seed viability may diminish after this time.
When should I plant my seeds?
The herbs will grow year-round indoors in a sunny spot (eg: a window sill). They might grow more slowly in winter due to fewer daylight hours. Avoid growing outdoors in winter in colder areas.
How often and how much should I water?
The pack is designed to reflect light onto your herbs and create a humid environment. They will need much less water than if they were outside in the ground.
Look at the soil surface a couple of times a week. If it looks dry, lightly sprinkle some water on top. Dipping your fingers in a glass and dripping/flicking the water into the pack a couple of times works well—aim for a light ‘rain’. If you accidently over-water or would like to allow drainage, use a pin to prick some small holes in the bottom of the pack. Exact water requirements will vary based on where you live, time of year and growing environment.
Can I re-use the pack?
Absolutely! Once your herbs have grown, simply remove the plant, top up the soil and plant more seeds.
